The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022

Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.
The Platinum Jubilee will be celebrated in the Commonwealth to mark the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II on 6th February 1952.
I thought this would be a great opportunity to let you know I offer a Medal & Memorabilia Framing Services.
Here are a few examples of what I have framed in the past.

Framing Unlimited and the Environment

Framing Unlimited and the Environment

Framing Unlimited is an environmentally aware picture framing business.
ENVIRONMENT STATEMENT.
I endeavour to minimise the impact my framing service has on the environment through the processes, materials and products I use.
POLCORE® FRAME MOULDING.
Polcore ® is recycled polystyrene – an alternative picture moulding material.
Recycled polystyrene picture frame mouldings have a skin of HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) – known as ‘virgin’ on the outside of the profile which provides a smooth surface on which to finish.
The core of the moulding is made up of about 70% recycled polystyrene and 30% virgin polystyrene.
Recycled polystyrene is made up of waste products from mainly two sources:
The electronics industry
Plastic packaging – mainly from the food industry.
It contains NO detectable formaldehyde or carcinogenic substances and is free from lead.
The manufacturing process is clean.
Does not use spray paints.
The manufacturing process uses decorative transfer films.
Therefore the material that constitutes recycled polystyrene mouldings broadly conserves the use of the earth’s natural raw materials by using those that have been recycled.
WOOD FRAME MOULDINGS.
The ranges of wood products I use are from companies that purchase their timber from sustainable sources and reforestation projects.
Other ecological considerations include the use of water based paints and varnishes.

Keeping You In The Picture

Keeping You In The Picture

Hi, I really do hope you’re all keeping safe and well through these uncertain times. I think It is fair to say it’s been an especially tough year for everyone. I just thought I’d give you an update on what’s been happening at the workshop and what I have planned for the weeks ahead. In all honesty, nothing much has been happening front of house recently due to restrictions imposed by government, but there’s lots been happening behind the scenes. This update will highlight the measures I’ve put in place to keep you and myself safe when the workshop reopens and welcomes you back.

Christmas Opening Hours

Christmas Opening Hours

Christmas is fast approaching and I would like to make you aware of Framing Unlimited’s Christmas holiday details. The workshop will close at 3:00pm on Tuesday 22nd December 2020.
Opening again from 10:00am on Wednesday 6th January 2021.
If you have any items you would like framing before I close on Tuesday the 22nd December, they must be dropped off at the workshop no later than the 12th December 2020.
Any orders I received after this date can not be guaranteed to be ready in time for Christmas.
As you can imagine it’s a very busy time of year and the sooner you can get your items to me for framing the better.
