As some of you might know I am an ex serving soldier. I served 17 years in the Royal Corps of Signals as an Electrcian. During that time I travelled far and wide. I’ve been to many beautiful countries and served in some war torn ones too. I am greatful to have returned home from each one safe and sound.read more
Framing Royal Mint Coins – Framing Unlimited.
The Royal Mint is the world’s leading export mint, making coins and medals for an average of 60 countries every year. However, its first responsibility is to make and distribute United Kingdom coins as well as to supply blanks and official medals. Where is The Royal Mint?
Opened by The Queen in 1968 in readiness for the introduction of the decimal coinage, The Royal Mint’s headquarters in Llantrisant, South Wales, employs more than 900 people. Why not have yours framed?
Over the past several months I’ve had an increasing number of people ask if I will sell them all the materials I use to make frames, so they can make their own. The short answer to this question is simply NO. There are a number of reasons why I am not willing to sell the materials and
I’d like to share some of those reasons with you in this short post.
With the Easter break just around the corner I thought I’d let you know the workshop opening times.
As you might already know, I run the workshop on my own, but do have occasional help.
I believe family time is very important, therefore I will be closing the workshop over the easter period.
I know it can be frustrating when a shop closes for a short period of time, but I hope it does not cause too much frustration.
The workshop will close at 5:00pm on Thursday 29th March 2018
9:00am on Wednesday 4th April 2018
I will be working flat out to complete all orders taken.
Unfortunately I can not guarantee orders taken from the 26th of March 2018 will be ready for collection before I close for the easter break.
Thank you for your understanding.
Wishing you a Happy Easter.

I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who have kindly donated a Christmas gift at my workshop for the Metro Radio – Mission Christmas Appeal.
I would like to extend a special thank you to the employees at BAE Systems in Washington, Tyne and Wear for their substantial contribution to the appeal.
As I write this post, Mission Christmas is incredibly close with only 10,986 presents needed to hit the target of 47,500 gifts. The final date to drop off your gift at B&M or Wickes Stores is Sunday 17th December 2017.
Your generosity and kindness has really been overwhelming.
Once again Thank you for your support.
Christmas is fast approaching and I would like to make you aware of Framing Unlimited’s Christmas holiday details.
The workshop will close at 5:00pm on Friday 22nd December 2017
Opening again from 9:00am on Monday 8th January 2018
If you have any items you would like framing before I close on the 22nd December, they must be dropped off at the workshop no later than the 15th December 2017.
Any orders I receive after this date can not be guaranteed to be ready in time for Christmas.
As you can imagine it’s a very busy time of year and the sooner you can get your items to me for framing the better.
It’s been another fantastic year for Framing Unlimited and I thank you for your continued business.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

David is a very talented local artist/illustrator who lives in County Durham.
A family friend who I’ve framed a number of items for, enquired about displaying some of David’s artwork in my workshop. I am a big believer in promoting local artists work and where possible display them in my workshop. I agreed to meet David to look at his work.
David popped into the workshop earlier this week with some examples of his work. I immediately agreed to display his fantastic artwork and promote it on my website, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn social media feeds.
Do you know someone who is fanatical about gaming? If you do then I’m sure you will be aware that many of the console games have limited edition versions. Some I have seen are simply amazing!
With Christmas just around the corner so why not have them framed. They make stunning pieces of Art.
These games often cost a small fortune and end up tucked away in a draw.
Get them framed and up on the wall! Its more affordable than you might think.
