Professional Picture Framing Service in the North East of England

Professional Picture Framing Service in the North East of England

Over the past several months I’ve had an increasing number of people ask if I will sell them all the materials I use to make frames, so they can make their own. The short answer to this question is simply NO. There are a number of reasons why I am not willing to sell the materials and
I’d like to share some of those reasons with you in this short post.
If I were to sell the materials I use to a customer, I’m basically selling my business to them. If I’m not making frames, Im not generating the income required to pay my overheads or earn a living. Listed below are a few of the running costs.
* Rent * Utility bills * Stock purchase * Machinery purchases and repairs * Business Insurance (public liability etc).
My pricing structure takes into consideration the cost of running my business. I am confident when I say my prices are the most competitive in the area. It’s often said that small businesses are the key to building a stronger economy. I believe this to be true.

Easter Break – Workshop Opening Hours

Easter Break – Workshop Opening Hours

With the Easter break just around the corner I thought I’d let you know the workshop opening times.
As you might already know, I run the workshop on my own, but do have occasional help.
I believe family time is very important, therefore I will be closing the workshop over the easter period.
I know it can be frustrating when a shop closes for a short period of time, but I hope it does not cause too much frustration.
The workshop will close at 5:00pm on Thursday 29th March 2018
Opening again
9:00am on Wednesday 4th April 2018
I will be working flat out to complete all orders taken.
Unfortunately I can not guarantee orders taken from the 26th of March 2018 will be ready for collection before I close for the easter break.
Thank you for your understanding.
Wishing you a Happy Easter.
Best wishes
Dave

Justice League Artwork by D. Storey

Justice League Artwork by D. Storey

David is a very talented local artist/illustrator who lives in County Durham.
A family friend who I’ve framed a number of items for, enquired about displaying some of David’s artwork in my workshop. I am a big believer in promoting local artists work and where possible display them in my workshop. I agreed to meet David to look at his work.
David popped into the workshop earlier this week with some examples of his work. I immediately agreed to display his fantastic artwork and promote it on my website, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn social media feeds.
I’m sure you will agree with me when looking through the examples of his artwork below, it’s outstanding!
Framing Unlimited is delighted to have signed A3 size prints for sale at the workshop.
Mounted prints start at £25.00 each.
Framed prints start at £49.99 each.
These will make fantastic Christmas gifts for any DC Comic fan!

Framing Games Console Memorabilia

Framing Games Console Memorabilia

Do you know someone who is fanatical about gaming? If you do then I’m sure you will be aware that many of the console games have limited edition versions. Some I have seen are simply amazing!
With Christmas  just around the corner so why not have them framed. They make stunning pieces of Art.
These games often cost a small fortune and end up tucked away in a draw.
Get them framed and up on the wall! Its more affordable than you might think.
Gears of War is a video game franchise created and originally owned by Epic Games, developed and managed by The Coalition, and owned and published by Microsoft Studios.

Recent work

Recent work

It’s been weeks or maybe even months since I’ve posted any images of my recent work. There are 2 reasons for this;

Firstly – Its been a crazy busy couple of months in the workshop (not that I’m complaining about that) and I simply have not had chance to get onto my computer to write any posts.

Secondly – I’m not one to boast about my work. I think the quote below sums this up perfectly. If I were to add to it, I’d say “my work speaks for itself”.

I had a very intesting conversation in my workshop today with Mark and Steven from Tiny Acorn. Mark suggested that we should be telling everyone about what we do and how well we do it.
Head over to Tiny Acorn’s Facebook page and see for yourself how good they are!
