There But Not There

There But Not There – Framing Unlimited. Commemorate. Educate. Heal. There but Not There is the 2018 Armistice installation for the Charity Remembered.

The Charities Mission (taken from their website)

We aim to install our silhouettes wherever there is a roll of honour and place life-size representation of our Tommy figure in many public places for the Armistice Period 2018.

We hope to educate all generations about why they made the ultimate sacrifice and raise very substantial funds to help heal those suffering from the hidden wounds of war.

The Tommys and their commemorative packaging are made by the Royal British Legion Industries and, appropriately, by ex-Service Veterans employed by RBLI.

The charities we will support include:

The Royal Foundation: Heads Together – Changing the national conversation on mental health and wellbeing.

Walking With The Wounded – Supporting our wounded into work.

Combat Stress – treating Veterans suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Depression and Anxiety.

Help for Heroes: Hidden Wounds – Supporting Service Personnel and families with anxiety, depression, stress and anger

Project Equinox: Housing Veterans and Medical Students – Plymouth University project to create sheltered housing for 40 single veterans.

Professional Framing Service
by Framing Unlimited

As some of you might know I am an ex serving soldier. I served 17 years in the Royal Corps of Signals as an Electrcian. During that time I travelled far and wide. I’ve been to many beautiful countries and served in some war torn ones too. I am greatful to have returned home from each one safe and sound.

Supporting Our Troops Past and Present.

Thanks to the charities mentioned earlier we can remeber and help support our heroes and their families.

Display your Tommy with Pride.

I have been looking forward to sharing my first framed Tommy with you. Thank you to Mr Arthur for allowing me to post some images of his Tommy I’ve framed for him.

Specialist Glass

Using Artglass 99™ gives the effect of having no glass in the frame at all.

I call it invisible glass!

Here’s a link with more info on the glass I’ve used.

LED Lighting

Installing a battery operated LED Light has helped to enhance Tommy’s silhouette.

Display your framed Tommy for everyone to see.

It will create a talking point.

Keeps a memory alive.

“We will remember them”.
